Purify the Soul

This one's been giving me trouble and not for the fact that it was difficult. I've loved painting every inch of this and the image just seemd to flow from me. No, the trouble had been my own lack of motivation. This has been sitting, half-finished in my back room for almost six months. Finally, I had the energy, time, and motivation to pull it out, get everything set out, and paint. This is the result.


And to think, this 3'x4' painting started out as just a doodle I did while I was bored at work on a little piece of scrap paper.

Also, excuse the photo, I don't have the best camera in the world, so it made the hair look kinda oddly glittery cause of the flash.
